Uplifting with
LifeLift
We all made it through the New Year and many of us have been
working our way back to living a normal life. You know, normal.
What do you think that means?
I have been trying to figure that out and it seems it means that
we are trying to get better than we are at this moment.
That seems to be the way most of us "normally" feel.
What do you think would happen if we try a new approach? How
about if we decide this year to love ourselves exactly as we are now, this
minute. Wow! what a concept. Well, guess what? After a great deal of research I
have determined that the only way you will improve who you are now is to accept
and love yourself as you are this very moment. OUCH!!! Did I hear you say
OUCH!!!
Maybe, probably. This would be a good time to look closely at
how you really feel about yourself.
When you realize and acknowledge that you are as wonderful now,
this minute as you will be when you reach all of your goals of being thinner,
stronger, more toned, and richer you will be able to succeed at anything you
try to achieve.
Oprah Winfrey is a perfect example of this. She was just as
loving and lovable, just as caring and successful when she weighed over 200
pounds as she was when she was thin. She is admired and loved regardless of her
weight. She has reached for some pretty amazing goals and she has achieved them,
some when she was heavy, some when she was thin. So why would you think that you
are any different? Why do you think you have to be perfect? Why do you think you
have to be perfectly thin, perfectly whatever to be really successful and happy?
Before I give you any more information to help you improve your
health or your life will you please just take a moment to ponder this?
Did you take a moment to ponder the possibilities of allowing
yourself to feel great just as you are?
If you did then I am impressed with you. This is not always
easy, but believe me, the rewards are worth it.
Oxygen is the Key to Life
The most important fuel you can give your body is
oxygen. We all want attractive, healthy bodies and many of us are
spending a great deal of money taking pills, going to plastic surgeons, buying
exercise equipment that promises to give us what we are striving for. The real
key to finding that healthy, vibrant body does not require anything you don't
have with you right now. Your body, your brain, your willingness to try
something that makes sense, and your determination to succeed. It will not take
hard, torturous work, it will not require much of your time. All it takes is for
you to learn how to breathe right and to combine it with a few simple stretching
and flexing exercises to build the kind of muscle that will support this dream
of yours to be as healthy and fit as possible. So what are you waiting for? Get
on it. Breathing with LifeLift daily will change your life as it has mine and
thousands and thousands of others. You do deserve it so what is stopping you
now?

I promised in the last newsletter that I would highlight at
least one testimonial a month in the newsletter. This month I received so many
that were so incredible it was hard to pick. It was really difficult to pick,
but this one should certainly inspire you to keep on breathing, do your LifeLift

I just wanted to thank you for creating LifeLift. After my first
session last night, I was hooked! After my second session this morning, I feel
terrific! As a life long asthmatic, I've always stayed away from sports
or exercising per se because I had such horrible lung capacity. I thought
that breathing programs such as Body Flex or Oxycise would help and they did, to
a degree, but I became bored with the programs and I quit. Needless to say, my
asthma came back with a vengeance! After just one session with LifeLift I could

Asthma wasn't my only reason for ordering LifeLift. I'd

sincerity is apparent throughout the entire video. This is a very nice change
from other workout videos. I also appreciate the fact that you have a much more
gentle manner than I had previously seen in Body Flex.
All in all, I am completely ecstatic about this breathing

The Importance of building good muscle tone. Why simply
losing weight is the wrong goal
Long term studies have clearly shown the fact
that the average person’s lean body mass declines with age.
Body fat is metabolically inactive. It's energy storage
tissue.
Hundreds of years ago body fat was necessary to prevent
starvation, but today most of us are not starving and instead of keeping
us from dying it is often causing serious health problems. Many diseases such as
heart disease, hypertension and diabetes have been linked to
having too much body fat.
How does building muscle help solve this problem?
Often when someone starts doing LifeLift they wonder why they
lose many more inches than pounds. The answer is very simple. They are
ridding themselves of excess body fat, but adding wonderful lean
muscle to their bodies and muscle weighs more than fat, so as they
are actually dropping off many more pounds of fat than will show up on their
scales they are adding pounds of healthy lean muscle. I remember many years ago
when I was in a car accident and unable to do much of anything, I started to
feel my muscles were somewhat mushy, yet I did not get smaller. When I got on
the scale I had lost somewhere between 8 and ten pounds of good solid muscle. I
was the same size. It was the poor muscle tone that made the difference. I was
very happy when I started doing LifeLift again and gained back the muscle tone,
and along with it the weight.
The body's biologically active tissue consists of muscle, bone,
and vital organs (lean body mass). This tissue, especially muscle, needs a far
greater amount of caloric fuel to maintain itself compared to passive tissue. It
takes fewer calories to maintain inactive fat tissue. This is why people with
more body fat cannot eat as much without gaining weight as someone with more
lean muscle, which requires more fuel or fat to function. When you speed up your
metabolism by creating more lean muscle tissue you are able to eat more food
without gaining weight, it is that simple. Your wonderful new lean muscle will
help you burn off those calories from the excess food. Have you ever noticed how
much muscular, thin people can eat?
Speaking of eating, this brings me to a very important point. It
is as important how often you eat as it is what you eat.
Think of it this way. If you keep your body fueled by feeding it
3 good meals and 3 small snacks daily it will not feel it has to go into
starvation mode thus holding onto the fat. It will be able to release the fat
only if it feels safe that you are not going to starve to death. If you go
without eating your body will be freaking out and hanging onto that fat for dear
life!! Remember the rule, eat every few hours and drink plenty of water so your
body will not feel it has to set up a storage system. Don't make your body feel
it has to be ready for the Y2K disaster with pounds and lumps of extra fat and
tons of water reserves.
Two things determine how much muscle we have. The first is how
much we use our muscles and the second is the level of anabolic tissue
maintaining hormones and oxygen are circulating in our blood streams.
Remember to use those muscles. Oxygenating those muscles
with LifeLift with some good stretching and flexing will
give you the kind of muscle tone you want and deserve to have.
Don't Be sad, eat seeds!
It seems that almost daily we hear of some new herb or drug
that helps to lift our spirits. There is something that I have loved for years,
I have used it on bread, on pasta dishes, salads, even on fish and tofu dishes.
This tiny little wonder is loaded with calcium which is a nutrient that the
brain uses to synthesize seratonin, a neurotransmitter that is responsible for
giving us feelings of serenity and well-being. What is it? It is tiny little
sesame seeds.

For quite some time now I have been having some of my devoted
LifeLifters forward messages that they were receiving from some internet support
lists they had joined. Because I was trying to locate all of you who had
subscribed to my free newsletter on sites other than my own who were not
receiving them, I asked a very special woman named Darlene if she had any ideas.
She sent me the information for some lists after devoting an incredible
amount of her time to searching out the information. I decided to join one of
the lists. I have never felt more inspired. It became obvious in only a few days
that this group was made up of many people with hearts of gold who really wanted
to give support and friendship to others like them. At first I felt reluctant to
join in as I did not want to intrude since I knew that many of these people were
using my LifeLift video. After being there for only 2 days I saw a message sent
from someone wanting to help a friend who was paralyzed. What a precious
friend she was to take the time to ask for help for her friend. I could not hold
back. I had to answer her. From that one message I was given a welcome so
amazingly warm and inviting that I have become totally inspired to complete the
workouts DVD's and Videos that many of you had been asking for. I had taped 6 of
them months ago, but I have been swamped with so many projects that I had not
done the editing. Because of the generosity of all of the people on the support
lists all over the internet LifeLift has grown and we now have LifeLifters
worldwide.
You will be inspired by the stories you read of personal
struggles and personal triumphs and I am sure that you will feel like I do, like
you have been included in something very special.
Here is something I was inspired to write because of the
messages I have received from so many of you and because of the great
interaction I see on our own LifeLift support lists.

Who am I really? And who are you? Are we more alike than we are
different? Are the walls that keep us separate just an illusion? If
we would just dare to walk through the invisible wall could we find each
other, and in finding each other would we better discover
ourselves?
Don't think you are alone out there. There are more who care than
you can imagine.
